Adair Middle School Overall District Champions

The Adair County Middle School Academic Team was the overall district winner in the Governor's Cup competition held at Campbellsville Middle School, 315 Roberts RD, Campbellsville, KY on Saturday, January 29, 2011.

Teams competing besides Adair County were Taylor County Middle School, the host Campbellsville Middle School, and Green County Middle School.

Final overall standings, District 44 Middle Grades
  1. Adair County Middle School - 36.00 points
  2. Taylor County Middle School - 35.50
  3. Campbellsville Middle School - 28.50
  4. Green County Middle School - 24.00
Adair County Middle School was also the recipient of the coveted Hume Sportsmanship Trophy.



Brittany Curry, Laura Akin, Anna Parson, Jessi Taylor, and Amber Turner will all represent ACMS at region in written assessment.

Jessi Taylor and Rebecca Montgomery will compete in composition, and Amber Turner, Rebecca Montgomery, Sarah McQuaide, and Tiara Holmes will represent the middle school in Future Problem Solving.

The FPS team won first place at district competition. Regional competition will be this coming Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Southern Middle School, 200 Enterprise DR (MAP), Somerset, KY.
