Six treated for injuries in two vehicle collision on KY 163

Trooper Logan Richardson is investigating a collision that occurred at 4:17pmCT, on KY 163, 1 mile south of Summer Shade, KY. Stephen Pennington, 20 year old of Moss TN was operating a 1992 Toyota. Pennington had 3 passengers in the vehicle: 13 year old Wyatt Embry of Moss TN; 14 year old Robert Pace of Celina TN; and 16 year old Savannah Byrn, of Moss TN.

All occupants in the Pennington vehicle were belted, and were treated and released at the Monroe County Medical Center.

Fondice Pipkin, 21 years of age, of Tompkinsville was operating a 2003 Pontiac. Pipkin was belted and was admitted to Monroe County Medical Center. Pipkin had one passenger, Samantha Gregory, 18 years of age, of Monticello. Gregory was belted and was treated and released at the Monroe County Medical Center.

Both vehicles were northbound on KY Highway 163. Pennington attempted to pass Pipkin, lost control of the vehicle, and struck Pipkin's vehicle.
