Obituary: Marvin A. Hale, 75, Casey Co., KY

He was a retired security guard, cattle farmer, and a member of the Church of God

Marvin A. Hale, 75 of Somerset died Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital, Danville, KY.

The funeral service is 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Monday, January 24, 2011, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bros. Bruce Taylor and Jonathan Hall the officiating clergy. Burial is at Green River Valley Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, January 23, 2011, 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Pallbearers will be Michael Hale, Shawn Burnside, Nick Floyd, Ricky Martin, Kendall Floyd and Billy Biggs.

Marvin A. Hale, Casey Co., KY (1935-2011)

Marvin A. Hale, born December 9, 1935 in Casey County, He was the son of the late Bruce and Hester Peyton Hale. He died Friday, January 21, 2011, in Danville, Boyle Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 1 month, and 12 days.

He is the widower of Wanda Spielbuger Hale, a retired security guard, cattle farmer and member of the Church of God.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Carlos Hale of Somerset, KY

  • A daughter: Beverly Floyd of Danville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Four step-grandchildren

  • And seven great-grandchildren
He is also preceded in death by a son, Curtis Hale; five brothers, Auther, Cleo, Lucion , Harlan and Bill Hale; and four sisters, Lillian Richardson, Ada Baxter, Myrtle Baxter and Ira Mae Nagle.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY in charge of arrangements.
