Obituary: William Henry Hall, 80, Greensburg, KY

He was a member and Deacon of the Greensburg Baptist Church, a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Green County, a USAF veteran of the Korean War a member and past commander of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, a past Chief and member of the Greensburg-Green County Fire Department, a Life Member and past Secretary of the Green County Sportsman Club, and a former Little League Coach.

Mr. William Henry Hall of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 80 years, seven months and five days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Henry Hall will be conducted at 2pmCT., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Blake Jessie and Bro. Mark Lowe will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-9pmCT., Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Saturday, January 22, 2011, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: David Pierce, Edward Price, Ross Morgan Tom Durham, John Durham, Doug Pickett, Richie Kessler, and Billy Hancock. Honorary pallbearers: Greensburg Baptist Church Deacons.

Mr. William Henry Hall, Green Co., KY (1930-2011)

Mr. William Henry Hall of Greensburg, KY was the son of the late William Homer Hall and Velma Stearman Hall. He was born Sunday, June 15, 1930 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2011 in Greensburg, Green Co.. KY He was 80 years, seven months and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and Deacon of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Green County. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post No. 124 where he served as past Commander, a past Chief and member of the Greensburg-Green County Fire Department, Life Member of the Green County Sportsman Club, where he served as past Secretary, and was a former Little League Coach.

He united in marriage to Linda Durham on October 11, 1951 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters and a son: Lisa Flack of Illinois, and Tracy Barker and Todd Hall both of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister: Louise Shepherd of Greensburg KY

  • Six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
