Obituary: Benjamin Joseph Gibson, 25, Nauvoo, IL

Benjamin Logan Gibson leaves many highly regarded relatives in Adair and Cumberland Counties. KY. He was a resident of Nauvoo, IL, and funeral services will be held there. Adair County, KY, visitation will be at Harrod's Fork, with graveside service and final resting place among his ancestors in Breeding, KY. Funeral services, including military rites, will be in Nauvoo, IL

Benjamin Joseph Gibson, age 25, of Nauvoo, IL, passed away on Monday January 17, 2011 in Macomb, IL.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday January 20, 2011 at 6:30 P.M. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 1100 Ripley ST (MAP), Nauvoo, IL, with visitation on Thursday January 20, 2011 from 3pmCT until 6pmCT. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Nauvoo, IL. Military rites will be accorded at the Christ Lutheran Church of Nauvoo. A local, Adair Co., KY, visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday January 22, 2011 from 11am until 12:50pmCT at Harrods Fork Baptist Church, 169 Harrods Fork Circle (MAP), Breeding, KY. A graveside service will follow at the Fudge Cemetery, 847 Independence RD (MAP), Breeding, KY at 1pmCT on Saturday, January 22, 2011.



Benjamin Joseph Gibson, Navoo, IL

He was born Tuesday, September 17, 1985, in San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA., a son of Billy Joe and Rachel Ann Pilkington Gibson. He died Monday, January 17, in Macomb, McDonough Co., IL, at the age of 25 years and 4 months.

Survivors include his parents, Billy Joe and Rachel Ann (Pilkington) Gibson of Nauvoo, IL, and the following:
  • His sister: Kiri Gibson of Nauvoo, IL

  • His grandfather: Joseph Pilkington of Nauvoo, IL

  • Several aunts and uncles

  • His grandmother: Shirley Gibson of Breeding,KY, his uncle and aunt, Randell and Dottie Gibson of Bakerton, KY

  • His aunt and uncle, Charolette and Michael McIntyre of Breeding, KY

  • And his cousin and her husband, Amanda and Larry England of Burkesville, KY
