He was a native of Monroe Co., KY, whose wife, Flora Keltner Blakley of Adair Co., KY, preceded him in death in 2008. His final resting place will be beside her in Haven Hill, Columbia, KY

Bill Blakley, 77, of Louisville, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 6:30am at the Inpatient Hospice Unit Downtown in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 21, 2011 at 1pmCT. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST (MAP), Columbia, KY, with Bro. Herbert Janes officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD (MAP), Columbia, KY.

Casket Bearers: Joshua Blakley, Mikie Blakley, Wayne Wright, Darrell Wright, Ronnie Towles, and Nicholas Towles.

Bill Blakley, Monroe Co., KY, native (1933-2011)

He was a son of the late Dallas and Omie Darr Blakley, born Sunday, December 3, 1933 in Monroe Co., KY. He died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 15 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Keltner Blakley on August 25, 2008.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law : Larry and Darlene Blakley, Michael and Mary Blakley all of Louisville, KY

  • One daughter : Linda Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers : Paul and Willie Blakley both of Louisville, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Eight great-grandchildren
