Obituary: Stanford Yarberry, 82, Adair Co., KY

He was a member of a highly regarded South Adair Co., KY family, a former welder/pipefitter, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Stanford Yarberry, 82, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:48amCT at Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 3pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Lonny Karnes officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, 8147 Burkesville RD, Columbia, KY. (MAP) Visitation after 4pmCT, Saturday, January 15, 2011.



Stanford Yarberry, Adair Co., KY (1928-2011)

He was born Sunday, August 26, 1928 in Adair Co., KY. He was the son of the late Wilson and Inisha Wilson Yarberry. He died Friday, January 14, 2011, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 19 days.He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Stotts Yarberry June 22, 2008.

He was US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a former welder/pipefitter.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Jr. and Lisa Yarberry of Smiths Grove, KY

  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Linda and Nathan Jennings, and Carlotta Yarberry all of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Eleveta Sparks of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Holly Stout, Adam Yarberry, Eric and Timothy Jennings

  • One great-grandchild: Conner Stout
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, Adrian Yarberry and Coty Harvey.
