Boil Water Advisory in effect for much of Columbia, KY PUBLIC NOTICE LIFTED at 2:15pmCT, January 14, 2011 A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for consumers of the Columbia/Adair Utilities District for the following areas of the City of Columbia, KY: Utilities District, including all of the Public Square, South and North Monroe Streets, Reed ST, Burkesville ST to Frazier AV, and Lindsey Wilson ST and Campbellsville STThe advisory has been issued due to a Main Line Break. Following such an event, the potential exists for Bacteriological contamination of the water supply, therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown that the water to be of acceptable quality.
