Obituary: Jimmy Roy, 51, Jamestown, KY

He was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY, family, of the Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a hairdresser

Jimmy Roy, 51, N. Main ST, Jamestown, KY, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Laura Harris and Rev. Jim Kingry the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Bernard Funeral Home after 9amCT, Saturday.



Pallbearers: Billy Flatt, Michael Switzer, Dewayne Conner, Joe Gadberry, Mike Harris, and Ron McBeath.

Jimmy Roy, Russell Co., KY (1959-2011)

Jimmy Roy was the son of the late Lula Emerson Roy and Grady Roy. He was born Monday, August 3, 1959 in Loveland, OH, and died Thursday, January 13, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY at the age of 51 years, 5 months and 10 days.

He was a hairdresser and a member of Coffey's Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Jessica (Michael) Switzer, Versailles, KY, and Emma Roy, Jamestown, KY

  • Special friends: Billy and Darlinda Flatt and Vickie Glenn
