Walking by the woods on a snowy morning Photo-essay. Click on headline for introduction plus album By Sharon Whitehurst On sunless 'snow days' the morning is scarcely different in light quality from high noon or sunset. The western boundary of our farm on Old Gradyville Road runs along a stand of mixed hardwoods and cedars. Walking the fence line, heading north, looking into the woods it seemed like the perfect setting for a dark Gothic tale. The only color came from a few rusty leaves still clinging to the maples. All else was shades of grey. -Sharon Whitehurst This story was posted on 2011-01-12 15:44:01
