Blevins of Campbellsville has been employed as an assistant professor of education at Campbellsville University, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University. Blevins is a 1984 graduate of Campbellsville University, where she majored in Elementary Education, with a math minor and secondary certification. She received both her master's degree and Rank 1 certification from Western Kentucky University. She is currently studying at Capella University to receive her doctorate. She returns to Campbellsville University with 16 years of teaching experience. Her years of experience are spread out through Marion, Metcalfe, and Taylor County High Schools, as well as Taylor County Middle. Before coming on full-time at Campbellsville University, she served as an adjunct instructor for two years. Blevins has received the Excellence in Teaching Award in both 1990 and 2006. She is a Relay for Life committee member and volunteer, and she also serves as a committee member for Taylor County Junior Miss.
