Three vehicle injury accident on edge of Post 15 area

Springfield, KY - Trooper John Adams of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating a collision that occurred at 6:48pmET, Friday, January 7, 2011, on US 150 at the Washington and Nelson County Line.



Taylor Smith age 16 of Springfield, was operating a 2002 Chevy truck westbound on US 150, when he was making a turn and pulled into the path of Donald Carney, age 50 of Springfield, KY, operating a 1998 Chevy car. William Railey, age 41, of Louisville, KY, was operating a 2001 Buick car eastbound on US 150. Smith spun in the roadway and collided with Railey.

Smith and passenger Jessica Spaulding age 15 of Springfield, Carney and passenger Judy Carney age 49 of Springfield, were all belted and were treated and released from Springview Hospital.

Railey and passengers Shannon Railey age 41, and Stephen Railey age 12 all of Louisville were also belted and were treated and released from Springview Hospital, Lebanon, KY.

Trooper Adams was assisted at the scene by Washington County, Fire, EMS and Rescue.
