No School in Adair County Today, Friday, January, 7, 2011 "No School in Adair County, today." That's the word from David Jones, Director of Pupil Transportation for the Adair County School District, who made the announcement at 5:26amCT, this Friday morning, January 7, 2011. Jones said that, while there was not much snow on the ground at this time, it was beginning to snow and he wouldn't be taking any chances. Classes on time at AYDC: Sue Buley writes: Since the snow looks like it will get worse as the morning progresses, classes at Adair Youth Development Center, 401 Appleby DR, Columbia, KY (MAP) will start on time. The National Weather Service in Louisville, has issued an Urgent Winter Weather Warning at 4:28amET/3:28amCT, January 7, 2011 stating that " . . . a round of light to moderate snow is expected across South-Central Kentucky today with the greatest impact on travel this morning as roads become snow covered..."The Area includes the cities of Burkesville, Campbellsville, Columbia, Edmonton, Greensburg, Jamestown, and Liberty in our area, as well as Brownsvile, Munfordville, Glasgow, Bowling Green, Albany, Franklin, and Tompkinsville.
