Lindsey Wilson College license plates support scholarships Plates are in stock and available locally at the office of Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Phone (270) 384-2801. They are also available at the Kentucky Motor Vehicle Website, link below By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College Columbia, KY - Kentucky residents can show their support for Lindsey Wilson College by sporting a Lindsey Wilson license plate on their cars or trucks. And they can also help out a Lindsey Wilson student. A Lindsey Wilson plate costs $44 upon initial issue and $31 at renewal. The license plate increases awareness of LWC and also raises funds for student scholarships; $10 from the sale of each plate goes to the Lindsey Wilson Fund, which provides scholarship aid to students. "This is a great way for alumni and friends to support Lindsey Wilson," said LWC Director of Alumni Relations Randy Burns '93. "A Lindsey Wilson license plate makes your vehicle stand out, but more important it also supports the Lindsey Wilson Fund, which provides scholarship support to deserving students." Each year, Kentucky's 20 private colleges and universities hold a friendly competition among the institutions - nicknamed the "Battle of the Bumpers" - to see which campus sells the most plates. Last year's contest was won by Transylvania University.
