She was a native of Alabama, a homemaker, and a member of the Beckham Ridge Baptist Church

Imogene "Jean" Richardson, 86, Hwy 1789, Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, January 1, 2011, at the Russell Co., Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.The funeral service was Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Troy Coffey officiating. Burial is in the Salem Cemetery.


Pallbearers: Otis Kerr, Jr.; Kevin Kerr, Brandon hare, Seth Richardson, Jerry Sullivan, and Tony Kerr.

Imogene "Jean" Richardson, 86, Russell Co., KY (1924-2011)

She was born in Blount Co., Alabama on Tuesday, July 1, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Dolly Pearl McCay Reid and Martin Reid. She died January 1, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 86 years and 6 months

She was the widow of Robert Richardson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobbie Wilson; two grandchilrden, Doric Dillard and Abigail Shanahan; a sister, Reba Byron; and two brothers, Lloyd and Percy Reid.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five children: Annette (Charles) McCay, Locust Fork, AL; Mura (Carl) Kerr, Corydon, IN; Calvin Randal (Judy) Shanahan, Russell Springs, KY; Rita Darlene (Roger) Rhinehart, Summer Shade, KY; and Robert (Becky) Richardson, Albany, OH

  • One brother: Euel Reid, AL

  • Nineteen grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren
She was a homemaker and a member of the Beckham Ridge Separate Baptist Church.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
