Obituary: Virginia (Ginny) Willoughby, 69 Taylor Co., KY

She was retired from Lake Cumberland Head Start as a Visitation Coordinator. She professed faith in Christ and attended New Life for the Nations in Columbia, KY

Virginia (Ginny) Willoughby, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 10:26 P.M., Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Campbellsville, KY. Her husband, William Derrell Willoughby, Sr., survives.

A coming-home celebration will be held at 3pmET/2pmCT, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville byRev. Gerald Reliford. Visitation is 2pm-3pmET/1pm-2pmCT, at the funeral home.



Virginia (Ginny) Willoughby, Taylor Co., KY (1941-2011)

Virginia (Ginny) Willoughby was the daughter of the late Estill Albert Smothers and Mary Elozia Catherine Durham Smothers Howard. She was born in Marion Co.., KY, , June 15, 1941. She died in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 69 years, 6 months, and 17 days.

She professed faith in Christ and attended New Life for the Nations Church in Adair County.

She retired from Lake Cumberland Head Start as Home Visitation Coordinator for some eighteen years.

She united in marriage to Derrell Willoughby in 1959.

Besides her husband, William Derrell Willoughby, Sr., Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: William Willoughby and Tami Harmon and husband, Kevin, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Lucas Wade Parsons, Sarah Catherine Parsons, and Wyatt Stuart Parsons, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • One step-granddaughter: Megan Harmon; all of Campbellsville; several other relatives and many friends
The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
