News from Campbellsville University

Campbellsville University's January term has set a record enrollment of 81 undergraduate students compared to 52 for January 2010.

The last day to register for the January term is Tuesday, January 4.

Dave Walters, vice president for admissions and student services, said, "more and more students are realizing the value and benefits of this opportunity."

Walters said students are taking advantage of the reduced cost and the accelerated format, and, "They can be one class closer to achieving their higher education goals."

Tawny Vilchis, a senior from Long Beach, Calif., said she is taking a January term class, English Literature, to "lessen the load for my last semester."

Vilchis said she tends to do better in shorter classes, and it is less expensive to take one during the January term. She will be taking 15 hours in the spring to finish her degree with an area in mass communication.

Walters said enrollment is open for spring semester. Classes begin at 5:15pmET, Tuesday, January 18, with the first full day of classes beginning at 8amET, Wednesday, January 19.For further details, contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@campbellsville.edu or call 1-800-264-6014 or 270-789-5220.
