Injury accident New Year's Day near Springfield, KY Driver cited for DUI, after Ford Ranger Pickup leaves roadway; vehicle comes to rest in creek on Logan RD (MAP), in Washington Co., KY By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Springfield, Washington Co., KY - Trooper Fred Cornett of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating a collision that occurred on Logan Rd, 4 miles East of Springfield, KY, at 11:45amET, New Year's Day. John Adams, age 39 of Springfield, was operating a 1991 Ford Ranger westbound on Logan RD. Adams ran off the roadway coming to final rest in a creek. Adams was not belted and was treated and released from Springview Hospital. Adams was cited to court for Driving Under the Influence. Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by Washington County Fire, EMS and Rescue.
