Two vehicle injury collision on KY 55 Two from Columbia, one from Campbellsville, KY, taken to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment following collision on New Columbia RD at Soule Chapel RD By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Taylor County - Trooper Justin Phillips is investigating a collision that occurred December 29, 2010, at approximately 3:53pm, 6 miles South of Campbellsville on KY55. The collision occurred when a 1988 Ford, operated by Javier G. Arias, age 51, of Campbellsville, was Westbound on Soule Chapel Road and attempted to pull onto KY 55. The Arias vehicle pulled into the path of a 2006 Chrysler, operated by Betty Hancock, age 53, of Columbia, KY. Arias, Hancock and a passenger in Hancock's vehicle, 15 year old Alexis Brooke Foster, also of Columbia, KY, were all belted at the time of the collision. All were transported to the Taylor Regional Hospital for their injuries. Arias was cited to court for DUI, Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle Prohibited and No Insurance, 1st Offense. Trooper Phillips was assisted at the scene by Taylor County Fire and Rescue and the Taylor County Sheriff's Department.
