Kookie Harris, a great DJ. And thoughts on Skip a Rope Billy Joe Fudge writes: I can't remember the DJ responsible, but during the late 60's I was awaken by the same song each and every morning, "Skip A Rope". A guy by the name of Henson Cargill sang the song and man did it stick in my mind.
