Driver injured after hitting tree off Hughes RD Jeffrey Meyer, 53, of Adair Co., KY, was injured when he lost control of his 2006 Pontiac in a curve on Hughes RD; left the roadway, went through a fence, and struck a tree. The accident occurred Friday, December 18, 2010. Meyer was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, treated for his injuries, and was later released. A passenger, 17 year old Thomas Meyer, refused treatment at the scene. The accident is being investigated by Adair County Deputy Sheriff Joey Burris. This story was posted on 2010-12-20 20:38:04
