He was a farmer and a member of a large, respected family with many family ties in Adair and Russell Counties of Kentucky

James Ralph Selby, Clara DR, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, December 17, 2010, at his residence.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 1pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Dale Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grider Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, December 20, 2010, at the funeral home.

James Ralph Selby, Russell Co., KY (1962-2010

James Ralph Selby was born July 29, 1962, in Russell Co., KY. He was the son of the late Ralph Byron Selby and Susie Birdwell Todd, who survives. He died Friday, December 17, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 48 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Selby, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Rose Selby, Russell Springs, KY

  • One granddaughter: Savannah Selby

  • Mother and step father: Sue and George Curtis Todd, Columbia, KY

  • Special friend: Sue McGaha

  • Aunt: Sunshine Kimbler

  • Cousins: Margaret and Steve Kimbler

  • Brothers: Randall Selby, Columbia, KY; and Dan Selby, Louisville, KY

  • Sister: Susan Dial, Russell Springs, KY
He was a farmer.
