Campbellsville University awards degrees to 2 from Columbia, KY

Beth Bailey-Hancock and Neil Manley Sanders receive BS degrees

News from Campbellsville University

Two Adair County students were among the 136 students awarded degrees at the Campbellsville University Fall Commencement, Friday, December 10, 2010.
  • Beth Bailey Hancock, of Columbia, KY, a graduate of Adair County High School, the daughter of Bill and Dorthy Bailey, both of Columbia, KY. She graduated with a bachelor of science in social studies.

  • Neil Manley Sanders of Columbia, KY, a graduate of Taylor County High School, the son of Beauford Sanders of Campbellsville, and Lynn Sanders of Columbia. He graduated with a bachelor of science in health education and physical education.
The ceremonies were held at Campbellsville Baptist Church.



Rev. Joel Carwile, pastor of Valley View Church in Louisville, KY, was the speaker.
Carwile, who has a Masters Degree in Theology from Campbellsville University, received the Campbellsville University Leadership Award from Dr. Jay Conner, chair of the CU Board of Trustees; Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of CU; and Dr. Frank Cheatham, vice president for academic affairs.

Benjamin Wylder Randall, a political science major from Versailles, KY, graduated valedictorian, and Kyle Alexander Romines, a biology major from Campbellsville, KY, graduated salutatorian.
