Mrs. Exie Wisdom, 99, of Hodgenville, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. She was 99 years, one month, 11 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Exie Wisdom will be conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Jesus Name Church, 80 Tabernacle RD, Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Jesus Name Church Cemetery. Elder Rueal Boils, Elder Jimmy Sharp, Elder Ronnie Gowen, and Elder Raymond Suttles will be officiating. Visitation is requested after 4pmCT, Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, and after 11amCT, Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Jesus Name Church until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Duke Price, Tom Silva, Blake Jeffries, Craig Jeffries, Terry Jeffries, Joseph Rice, and Dave Sanford.

Mrs. Exie Wisdom, Green Co. native (1911-2010)

Mrs. Exie Wisdom of Hodgenville, KY, the daughter of the late Minnie Bale Patterson, was born Thursday, October 26, 1911 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, LaRue Co., KY. She was 99 years, one month, 11 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jesus Name Church in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was also a nanny and homemaker.

She united in marriage to Kelcie Wisdom who preceded her in death in 1949.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Alene Jeffries Mardis of Hodgenville

  • Three grandchildren and spouses: Beverly and Duke Price, and Mona and Tom Silva all of Hodgenville, KY; and Rodney Jeffries of London, KY

  • A nephew: Cleston Patterson of Greensburg, KY

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • Three great-great-grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wisdom was also preceded in death by five brothers and sisters: Lonnie Patterson, Emma Patterson, Myrtle Judd, Nettie Patterson and Shelby Patterson.
