Black ice contributes to 2-car crash on KY 55 CVE Officer Jason Morris, KSP Trooper Bradly Stotts from KSP Post 15, assisted at scene by Washington Co. Fire Department, EMS, and Rescue By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Washington County, KY - Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Jason Morris is investigating a collision that occurred at 6:47pm ET, Sunday, December 5, 2010, on KY 55 at the Marion, Washington County Line. Thomas Mattingly, age 66 of Lebanon, was operating a 2006 Dodge Truck northbound on KY 55. Mattingly struck debris in the roadway, slid on black ice, then collided with a 2001 Chevy Car, operated by Allison Dones age 29 of Bardstown, head-on. All occupants were belted at the time of collision. Both Mattingly and passenger Charlotte Mattingly, age 63 of Lebanon, refused treatment. Dones and passengers Kimberly Holt age 32 and Cory Dones age 4 of Bardstown treated and released from Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY.Officer Morris was assisted at the scene by Trooper Bradly Stotts, Washington County Fire, EMS and Rescue.
