Obituary: Garfield Gosser, 91, Russell Co., KY

He was a farmer and a member of the Square Oak Separate Baptist Church

Garfield Gosser, 91, S. Hwy 76, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, December 5, 2010, at 10amCT at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bobby Conner the officiating clergy. Special music will be rendered by Janice Popplewell, Robyn Riddle, and Amy Ballenger. Burial will be in Square Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Scott Horn, Alex Bailey, Chad McFarland, Henry Cardewll, Chris Stapp, and Frank Goodman.

Garfield Gosser, Russell Co., KY (1910-2010)

Garfield Gosser was the son of the late Sarah Jane Wilson Gosser and William Henry Gosser. He was born Wednesday, January 15, 1919, in Russell Co., KY, and died Thursday, December 2, 2010, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY at the age of 91 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

He was a farmer and a member of the Square Oak Separate Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Frances Popplewell Gosser.

He is survived by the following:
  • Four Children: Lura Jane Johnson, Larry C. (Rita) Gosser, Joy Lou (Bill) Cardwell; and Linda (Kenny) McFarland, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
