Overcorrection a factor in Liberty RD, Columbia, KY accident News courtesy Adair County Sheriff's Office, Columbia, KY (Received 11/24/2010 23:23 Hrs.) Lucas Beardon, 17, of Greensburg, KY, was traveling west bound on Liberty RD in Adair County when his 1991 Geo Tracker dropped off the shoulder of roadway. Bearden overcorrected, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle went into a skid, leaving the roadway on eastbound side, striking a fence and continuing on striking a stump causing the vehicle to turn over. Bearden and Kyle Willis, 16, of Columbia, KY were transported to Westlake Regional Hospital. Willis was later transferred to University of Kentucky. Lucas was treated and released from Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY. Jacob Breham, 17, was also a passenger, but refused treatment at the scene. The accident was investigated by Adair County Sheriff's Office Deputies Joey Burris and Nick Hale. Also at the scene was the Adair County Search and Rescue Team, and Adair County Emergency Medical Service. This story was posted on 2010-11-27 09:00:00
