Obituary: Evelyn Cox, 78, Taylor Co., KY

She was a native of Adair Co., KY. She was member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church in Campbellsville, KY, a former telephone operator and a former employee of Southway Restaurant.

Evelyn Cox , 78, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:25amET, Thursday, November 25, 2010, in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 3:30pmET/2:30pmCT, Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Richard Lowe. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Pallbearers: Matt Grant, Bill Hall, Bobby Hill, Ronnie Milby, Kenny Phillips, and George Wilson.

Evelyn Powell Cox, Taylor Co., KY (1932-2010)

Evelyn Cox was daughter of the late Ray Powell and Mary Opal Bryant Powell. She was born in Adair Co., KY, Tuesday, May 31, 1932. She died Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 78 years, 5 months, and 25 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church.

She was a former telephone operator and former employee of Southway Restaurant.

She united in marriage to Billy Cox October 16, 1960. He preceded her in death January 31, 2001.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Debby Neat of Murfreesboro, TN; and Vicki Milby and husband, Ronnie of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four granddaughters: Leigh Dragoo of Elizabethtown, KY; Ericka Grant and husband, Matt of Murfreesboro, TN; Tina Kelly of Campbellsville, KY; and Terri Kelly of Lexington, KY
  • Eight great-grandchildren: Sierra Graybeal, Devon Graybeal, Dalton Grant, Cade Grant, Addison Grant, Carli Dragoo, Brady Dragoo, and Isaiah Bradshaw

  • One sister: Nancy Hill and husband, Bobby of Bowling Green, KY

  • Several other relatives and many friends
Tthe Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
