LWC Basketball: Women beat Berea, 72-53Ashley Rainey's 24, Vicktoria Krell's 16 lead Blue Raider offense

Two Blue Raiders scored in double figures and Berea College, Berea, KY, committed 32 turnovers as the Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team beat Berea 72-53 on Tuesday night at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders were led by sophomore forward Ashley Rainey's game-high 24 points and seven rebounds and senior forward Viktoria Krell's 16 points and 12 rebounds as LWC improved to 3-1 overall. The loss dropped Berea to 1-8.

Lindsey Wilson College senior forward Bethany Spillman of Glasgow, KY, is fouled with 4:47 to go the first half by Berea (KY) College's MacKenzie Stoner in Tuesday night's game at Biggers Sports Center. Spillman made one of two free throws to stretch LWC's lead to 31-20. She finished with seven points and four rebounds as the Blue Raiders won the game, 72-53.
