Obituary: Lowell Thurman Cawthorn, 62, Glasgow, KY

He was a member of the Grace Union Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran, and was a former employee of SKF Industries in Glasgow, KY

Lowell Thurman Cawthorn, 62 of Glasgow, KY, died Sunday November 21, 2010 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 8pmCT, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 and after 9amCT, Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Edward and Vera Thurman Cawthorn.

He was an employee of SKF Industries in Glasgow, KY, a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Grace Union Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Libby Florence Cawthorn, and the following:
  • Three children: Lt Colonel Michael (Kimberly) Roerk of Indiana; Anna (Mike) McKinney of Georgetown, KY; and Michelle (Larry) Blevins of Bowling Green, KY

  • Seven grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, David Roerk.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
