Next LWC Men's Basketball: Blue Raiders vs. Freed-Hardeman University of Henderson, TN, at 7pmCT, November 23, 2010, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard DR,, Columbia, KY. By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson Sports Information Columbia, KY - Four players scored in double figures, helping the Lindsey Wilson College mens basketball team to never trail as it took apart Trevecca Nazarene University of Nashville, TN, 70-46 in the finale of the LWC Classic at Biggers Sports Center Saturday afternoon. Junior Chase Spreen tallied a team-high 12 points, while his classmate Charles Baker and sophomores Darren Ballou and Kalen Kimberland all added 10. Baker and Ballou also paced the team in rebounds with seven each. J.P Nyadaro finished with a game-high 17 points for Trevecca Nazarene, but it was not nearly enough to overcome its 18 turnovers and just four assists that led to it trailing by as many as 26 points late in the second half. After a Nyadaro layup made it 2-2 just seconds into the game, the Blue Raiders went on a 14-0 run that the Trojans never recovered from. Once down by 14, Trevecca Nazarene never got within less than 10 points from the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson shot over 50 percent, nailing 26-of-48 field goals and 7-of-18 shots from 3-point range. It also knocked down 11-of-13 attempts from the free throw line. Add in a 34-26 rebounding advantage and the Trojans never really had a chance. While Lindsey Wilson committed 20 turnovers, it also came away with 16 assists. The Blue Raiders also blocked six shots, led by Rayshawn Alexander with two big blocks in the first half on Nyadaro. Without the balanced scoring attack, the Blue Raiders could have been in trouble as Trevecca Nazarene hit all 11 of its free throws in the second half. Lindsey Wilson, however, continued to hit big threes and get easy baskets in transition to keep its large lead.
