Obituary: Mary Maxine Sexton, 62, Metcalfe Co., KY

She was a homemaker and a member of First Nazarene Church

Mary Maxine Sexton age 62, of Edmonton, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Friday, November 19, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph. Visitation will be from 1pm-8pmCT, Thursday, November 18, 2010 and after 9amCT, Friday at the funeral home.


She was the daughter of the late Jim Willis and Lena Francis Judd Perkins.

She was a homemaker and member of the First Nazarene Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: David (Jennifer) Sexton of Edmonton, KY

  • Three daughters: Lisa (Tracy) Shirley of Glasgow, KY; Gayle (Frankie) Ennis of Beaumont, KY; and Anita (Chris) Hollingsworth of Summer Shade, KY

  • Three brothers: Donald Perkins of Glasgow, KY; Lonnie Perkins of Edmonton, KY; and Robert Perkins of Glasgow, KY

  • Three sisters: Shirley Pennington of Burkesville, KY; Katherine Engler of Frankfort, KY; and Rosella Roach of Louisville, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Sexton and five brothers and sisters.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
