He was a member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church and a farmer

John William Stubbs, 81, HWY 3525, Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel, 440 Old Corinth Owenton RD, Corinth, KY, with Bro. Alan Voils the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery in Harrison Co., KY.



John William Stubbs, Russell Springs, KY (1923-2010)

He was born Sunday, April 15, 1923, in Scott Co., KY. He was the son of the late Effie New Stubbs and Roy Stubbs. He died Saturday, November 13, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 29 days.

He is survived by his wife, Lofie Stubbs, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son, Roy (Robin) Stubbs, Somerset, KY

  • Two step children: Joyce (Alan) Voils, and J.C. (Diana) McFarland, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One grandson

  • Six step grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

  • Six step great grandchildren

  • Three brothers: Fred Stubbs and George Stubbs, both of Scott Co., KY; and Kenny Stubbs of Mansfield, OH
He was a member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church and a farmer.

he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Stubbs, and a brother, Cecil Stubbs.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, in charge of arrangements.
