Mr. Henry Critt Young, 93, of Little Barren Community of Green Co., KY, departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Henry Critt Young will be conducted at 1pmCT, Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Little Barren Cemetery. Bro. Meryl Young will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-7pmCT., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Sunday, November 14, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Bradley Thompson, Ricky Thompson, Lile ThompsonWayne Thompson, Darryl Young, and Mike Young

Honorary pallbearers: Stevie Ervin, Jimmy Ervin, Huston Ervin, Danny Young, and Jerry Young

Mr. Henry Critt Young, Green Co, KY (1917-2010)

Mr. Henry Critt Young, son of the late Robert Elmer Young and Hettie Florence Coffey Young, was born on Wednesday, February 7, 1917 in Green Co., KY; and departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2010, in Greensburg, Green Co., KY. He was 93 years, 9 months and 4 days of age.

He was a lifelong farmer.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth Ann Thompson and Grady Thompson of Greensburg, KY

  • A daughter-in-law: Betty Young of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Donna Rogers, Bradley Thompson, Ricky Young all of Greensburg, KY; and Patricia Young of Florida

  • One brother and two sisters: Welby Young of Greensburg, KY; Ollie Jennings of Indiana, and Ruth Chaney of North Carolina

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Young was also preceded in death by a son Len Ray Young on April 14, 2009.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
