Obituary: Nicholas Wayne Flatt, 17, Science Hill, KY

He was a member of a respected family with deep roots in Russell and Pulaski Counties. He was a member of the Science Hill Church of the Nazarene and a student

Nicholas Wayne Flatt, 17, Science Hill, KY, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at his residence.

The funeral for Nicholas Wayne Flatt will be Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Rick Lawson and Bro. David Green the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Square Oak Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Paul Ard, Travis Ard, Gary Wheat, Stanley Richardson, Jeremy Dickerson, and Rex Miller.

Nicholas Wayne Flatt, Science Hill, KY (1993-2010)

Nicholas Wayne Flatt was the son of Glenda Carter Flatt and Barry Wayne Flatt, who survive. He was born Friday, July 9, 1993 in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, and died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in Science Hill, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 17 years, 4 months, and 1 days.

He was a student and a member of the Science Hill Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Orvin Flatt, and an uncle, Randy Flatt.

He is survived by his parents, Barry and Glenda Carter Flatt, Science Hill, KY, and the following:
  • One sister: Taylor Renee Hestand, Science Hill, KY

  • His paternal grandmother: Frances Flatt, Russell Springs, KY

  • His maternal grandparents: Glenn Addison and Anna Monroe, Science Hill, KY

  • Three uncles: James (Lisa) Flatt, Michael (Deb) Addison, and Dewayne (Christy) Carter

  • Three aunts: Connie (Mark) McFarland, Tina Bradley, and Lisa (Jeff) Greer.
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
