Obituary: Ralph Carter, 81, Adair Co., KY

He was a native of Cumberland Co., KY. He was a highly regarded building supply merchant, owner and operator of Carter Building Supply in Columbia, KY over several decades. He was of the Methodist faith.

Ralph Carter age 81 years of Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 7am at Woodland Terrace Health Care in Elizabethtown, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:00 P. M. atStotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Neil Janes officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 2pmCT, Friday, November 12, 2010, at the funeral home.



Ralph Carter, Columbia, KY (1929-2010)

He was born on Friday, July 5, 1929 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Will and Della Wray Carter. He passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 7am in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co. KY at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 5 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rena Vanarsdale Carter onFebruary 2, 1984.

He is survived by the following:
  • One aunt: Stella Booher of Burkesville, KY

  • Several cousins

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was of the Methodist faith a retired home builder, he owned and operated Carter Building Supply in Columbia, KY.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
