THE Band convoy is rolling up I-65, just 43 miles s. of Indy

The State of Indiana knows that Adair Co., has arrived! 'Cause the Awesome ACHS Marching Band Convoy is rolling on to Naptown in broad daylight.

Telephone Dispatch from Shamarie Claiborne
On the Road with The Adair County Marching Band

The Adair County Marching Band convoy had lunch today at the Indiana State Rest Stop at at Mile Marker 21 on I-65 and was just 43 miles south of Indianapolis at 11:56amCT.

The lunch was prepared by the Band Boosters' field kitchen and included turkey and ham sandwiches and all the fixings. It is a beautiful day. The kids ate in their Bibbers to keep their uniforms clean. Meals are now off limits to paparazzi; or I'd send some to you.

THE Band will take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Colts at 3:45pmET/2:45pmCT, today, Thursday, November 11, 2010. We perform in the Bands of America Class A, the classification for the smallest bands.

We will know tomorrow, Friday, whether we have made it to the semi-finals. We're excited and will keep everyone posted at home. Shamarie Claiborne
