Obituary: Mrs. Bennie Warren, 82, Taylor Co., KY

She was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church and was retired after a career as a dietitian at Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY

Mrs. Bennie Warren, 82, of Campbellsville, KY,daughter of the late Ben Hicks and Essie Faye Hayes Hicks, died at 1:15pmCT, Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, with Minister Joe Hatchett presiding. Burial will be in the Elliott Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Brian Benham, J.T. Benham, Joe Benham, Anthony Moore, Michael Moore, and Steve Perkins.

Honorary pallbearers: Cody Beatty, Josh Beatty, and Joshua Beatty, Jr.

Mrs. Bennie Warren, Taylor Co., KY (1928-2010)

Mrs. Bennie Warren was the daughter of the late Ben Hicks and Essie Faye Hayes Hicks. She was born Thursday, March 15, 1928 in Sugar Grove, Wataugua, North Carolina. She died in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 25 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

She was a retired dietician at Medco Nursing Home.

She united in marriage to Bluford James Moore in January 7, 1950. He preceded her in death April 13, 1987.

She united in marriage to Lonnie "Jack" Warren June 23, 1990. He preceded her in death June 22, 2009.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters and one son: Donna Benham and Linda Moore of Campbellsville, KY; and Haydon Moore and wife, Diana of White Mills, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Eighteen great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-granddaughter

  • Four sisters and one brother: Leona Cable, Janet Osborne, Ruth Greer, Earlene Holtzclaw of Campbellsville, KY; and Lloyd Hicks of Carrollton, GA

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister Lewis Hicks and Gertrude Bright.

  • The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, in charge of arrangement
