J. Ernest Corbin, 81, of Columbia, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 4:22amCT, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral service, Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Mike Moon officiating.Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery, 2700 Jones Chapel RD, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the funeral home.

He was born December 26, 1928 in Adair Co., KY. He died Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN, at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

He was the son of the late Hallie and Allene Sneed Corbin. He was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, a US Army Veteran and a retired farmer.Survivors include the following:
  • His wife : Zilpha Richard Corbin of Columbia, KY

  • One sister : Carolyn Taylor of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends.
