Obituary: David Rafferty, 63, Taylor Co., KY

He was a member of the Elk Horn United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Parker Kalon in Campbellsville, KY. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

David Rafferty, 63, of Campbellsville, KY died at 1:29pmET, Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Louisville.

Graveside services will be at 1:30pmET/12:30pmCT, Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Elk Horn Cemetery by Rev. Ronnie Dooley.



Pallbearers: Donnie Cowan, Gary Goodin, Allen Gumm, Steve Gumm, Bernie Newcomb, Gary Seaborne, Roy Seaborne, Jr., and Eddie Taylor.

David Rafferty, Taylor Co., KY (1947-2010)

David Rafferty was the son of Clara Lee Allen Raffety and the late Murrell Pete Raffety. He was born Friday, August 29, 1947 in Marion Co., KY. He died in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 6 days.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired employee of Parker Kalon Company.

He is survived by the following:
  • His mother: Clara Lee Raffety of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Mike Gumm of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two nephews: Allen Gumm and Steven Gumm and wife, Laura, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Great-niece: Savannah Gumm of Campbellsville, KY

  • Many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Lynn Rafferty September 19, 1972.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
