LWC, CU participate in transfer exchange meeting Purpose is make transfer as seamless as possible from Somerset Community College to four year colleges and universities By Cindy Clouse News from Somerset Community College Somerset, KY - Representatives from Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY, and Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY, participated in the Somerset Community College Transfer Exchange Meeting on October 29, 2010 in Somerset. The local schools were among representatives from several of the four-year colleges and universities in the state at the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss enhanced ways of partnering together, as well as how SCC and KCTCS students can achieve a seamless transfer to a four-year institution. Each college and university exchanged information with the faculty and staff of SCC about their transfer initiatives and what SCC can do to build the strongest bridge for their students to successfully transition into these institutions. Various four-year college representatives also talked about their current partnership with SCC and the benefits it has provided. Other colleges and universities participating The colleges and universities that attended the Transfer Exchange Meeting were: Bellarmine University, Berea College, Eastern Kentucky University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Lincoln Memorial University, Mid-Continent, Midway College, Morehead University, Transylvania University, University of the Cumberlands, University of Kentucky, Union College, Western Kentucky University.
