Obituary: Christine Milby Bloyd, 94, Green Co., KY native

She was the daughter of the late Irvin Atwell Milby and Mary Will Price Milby of Green Co., KY. She was the widow of John Bloyd, and remained in Fullerton, NE, after his death

Christine Milby Bloyd, 94,, native of Summersville, Green Co. KY departed this life Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, NE..

The funeral service for Christine Milby Bloyd will be at Palmer Funeral Home, 210 Irving ST, Fullerton, NE11amCT, Saturday, October 30, 2010. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010/ The officiating minister will be Rev. Linda Lambert.Interment will be in Fullerton Cemetery.



Christine Milby Bloyd, Green Co., KY native (1919-2010)

Christine Bloyd was born January 10, 1919 in Summersville, Green Co. KY. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Atwell Milby and Mary Will(Price) Milby. She departed this life Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at MaryLanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, Adams Co, NE, having attained the age of 94 years, 9 months and 17 days.

Mrs. Bloyd was united in marriage to John Marvin Bloyd of Fullerton, NE, on January 10, 1946. She enjoyed gardening and yard work. Her hobbies were crocheting, embroidering, reading and word puzzles. Marvin Bloydpassed away December 18, 1990. Mrs. Bloyd continued to make her homein Fullerton, NE.. On November 13, 2004, she moved to Valley ViewAssisted Living.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in deathby four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Monte and BevBloyd of Gibbon, NE and James and Sue Bloyd of Omaha, NE

  • Fivegrandchildren; Sarah and her husband, Ed Krieser, Douglas and his wife,Greta, Rebecca and her husband, Phillip and Laura and Jonathan Bloyd

  • Four great-grandchildren; Jakob and Joshua Krieser, Tanner Hill-Bloyd andKyler Bloyd. She is also survived by one brother, Rev. Irvin Atwell Milby,Jr.
