Obituary: Christine Morris, 83, Green Co., KY

She was a member of families with deep roots in Green and Metcalfe Counties of KY. She was a member of the Wisdom Faith Community Church in Metcalfe County and was retired after a career with the Phillip Morris Company in Louisville, KY

Christine Morris of Green Co., KY, departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Bowling Green, KY at the Greenview Regional Hospital.

The funeral services for Christine Morris will be conducted at 1pmCT, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Earlene Branstetter and Bro. Dan Alwire will officiate. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Saturday, October 30, 2010, until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Ricky Bunch, James Ray Reece, Joey Martin, Korey Bryant, Bronson Bryant, and Randall Curry.

Christine Davis Morris, Green Co., KY (1927-2010)

Christine Morris of Green Co., KY, the daughter of the late Dewey Davis and Viola Kessler Davis, was born on Wednesday, October 12, 1927 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY. She was 83 years and 16 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Wisdom Faith Community Church in Metcalfe Co., KY and was a retired employee with Phillip Morris in Louisville having worked as a floor lady for 37 years.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth Ann and Bill Curry of Green Co., KY

  • Two granddaughters and spouses: Donna Fay and James Ray Reece of Knob Lick, KY, and Lisa Kay and Ricky Bunch of Edmonton, KY

  • Five great grandchildren
  • Nine great-great grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Memorials are suggested to the Wisdom Faith Community Church or Munfordville Church of God, which can be made at the funeral home.The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
