He had retired from Jackson Chair and was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ

McKinley Ray Carpenter of Liberty died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY. He was 72.



McKinley Ray Carpenter, 72, Casey Co., KY (1937-2010)

Born November 15, 1937 in Washington Co., KY, he was a son of the late Hubert Lee and Florence Rea Logue Carpenter. He died Thursday, October 21, 2010, in Somerset, Pulaski Co, KY, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 6 days.

He retired from Jackson Chair and was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ .Survivors include his wife, Gladys Tarter Carpenter of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • One son, Mark Anthony Carpenter of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter, Rea Ellen Carpenter of Liberty, KY

  • And three sisters: Ina Jean Russell of Moreland, Mary Faye Canada of Harrodsburg and Carolyn Jane Horn of Stanford. KY

There will be no service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Carpenter.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangement.
