Wreck in Esto, Russell Co., ends CPD pursuit from east Columbia

Russell County woman now lodged in Adair County Regional Jail facing multiple charges

A Russell County woman led Columbia Police in a pursuit into Russell County after an attempted stop for suspected drug activity. The chase started on Monday night, October 25, 2010, at approximately 11:38pmCT, near the Dollar General Store in the 800 block of Russell RD in Columbia and continued into the Esto community of Russell Co., KY, where the suspect wrecked.



Heaven Sutton, 23, Russell Springs, KY, was arrested and charged with operating a hevhicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, fleeing and evading police 1st degree, and wanton endangerment, 1st degree.Sutton was lodged in the Adair County Jail by Columbia Police Department officers Jamie Cole and Bruce McCloud. They were assisted in the pursuit by Russell County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Cromwell. -Chief Jason Cross
