48 LWC students nominated for 2010 Homecoming Court

Top five king and queen candidates will be named at Homecoming Extravaganza. October 27, 2010. The 2010 King and Queen will be crowned at halftime at LWC vs WV Institute of Technology homecoming game October 30, 2010. List of 48 nominees below.

Columbia, KY - A total of 48 Lindsey Wilson College students have been nominated for the 2010 Homecoming Court. The LWC student body will vote next week on the candidates for king and queen.

The homecoming court - the top five king and queen candidates - will be named at the Homecoming Extravaganza, which will be held at 7 pmCT on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in V.P. Henry Auditorium. V.P. Henry Auditorium is in the L.R. McDonald Administration Building, 210 Lindsey Wilson ST. The Homecoming Extravaganza is free and open to the public.



The 2010 king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the football game between LWC and West Virginia Institute of Technology, which is scheduled to kick off at 1:30pmCT, October 30, 2010, at Blue Raider Stadium, 820 Hanley LN, Columbia, KY.

Nominated for the LWC Homecoming Court are:
  • Joanie Mae Alexander, English and history freshman of Brodhead, KY, representing the freshman class
  • Rachael Anderson, human services and counseling junior of Lexington, KY, representing varsity volleyball
  • Diondra Anthony, human services and counseling senior of Bowling Green, KY, representing womens varsity basketball
  • Tara Bangtson, psychophysiology senior of Leitchfield, KY, representing dance
  • Brittany Burton, a Christian ministries senior of Russell Springs, KY, representing LIFE
  • Rachel Carr, a communication sophomore of Danville, KY, representing the sophomore class; Sarah Cason, a Christian ministries junior of Crestwood, KY, representing the junior class
  • Amanda Cecil, an English junior of Hodgenville, KY, representing the honors student association
  • Edie Foley, a recreation and sports senior of Russell Springs, KY, representing cheerleading
  • Katelin Frederick, a communications senior of Hustonville, KY, representing LWC singers
  • Ashley Graves, a communications senior of Lancaster, KY, representing LWC players
