Mr. Truman Roach age 84, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Monday October 18, 2010 at The Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 3pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N, Main, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial in The Roach-Short Cemetery in Cumberland Co., KY. Visitation is after 11amCT,. Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Norris-New until the funeral hour Thursday.



Mr. Truman Roach, Cumberland Co., KY (1925-2010)

He was born in The Kettle Creek Community of Monroe Co. Ky. on Friday, November 27, 1925 the son of Johnnie and Ona Short Roach, He died October 18, 2010, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 21 days.

He was a farmer and was a member of the Ashlock congregation of The Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Roach, Ralph Roach, Tommie Roach, infant brother, Alton Roach and sister, Ernestine Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Zelma Maydine Key Roach (whom he married January 30, 1953) of Burkesville, KY, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Deborah Elaine "Debbie" (and David) Green of Smiths Grove, KY, Kathryn May "Kathy" (and David) King of Burkesville, KY, and Dorothy Lynn Roach of Burkesville, KY

  • A sister: Dorothy Scott of Indianapolis, IN

  • Two grandchildren: Luke Tyler King and Chelsea Hope King.
