Obituary: Lola Mae Mann, 93, Russell Springs, KY

She was a homemaker and the matriarch who lent strength to a highly regarded Russell County family. She leaves many Russell and Adair County relatives to mourn her passing. She was the widow of a beloved Adair County restaurant personality, Earl Mann

Lola Mae Mann, 93, Grider Lane, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 2pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billy Dunbar the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Bobby Dunbar and Diane Hughes. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Russell Springs City Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Michael Mann, Kyle Mann, Daniel Guffey, Terry Guffey, Charles Johnson, and Chris Back.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Mann, and a sister, Lucille Blakey and a brother, Nenis Guffey.

Lola Mae Guffey Mann, Russell Co., KY (1916-2010)

She was the daughter of the late Pearl Collins Guffey and Bill Guffey. She was born in Russell Co, KY, Monday, November 6, 1916 and died on Sunday, October 17, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 11 days.

Mrs. Mann was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Gary (Brenda) Mann, Columbia, KY; and Earl K. (Elaine) Mann, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Stephanie Back, Michael Mann, Kyle Mann, and Brandi Sullivan

  • Four great grandchildren: Dylan Mann, Macy Mann, McKenzie Back, and Megan Back

  • Two brothers: Kenneth Guffey and Alford Guffey, both of Jamestown
Bernard Funeral Home, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
