Obituary: Carolyn Faye Ballard, 66, Casey Co., KY

She was a member of a large, highly regarded family. She was medical transcriptionist and was a member of Highland Christian Church.

Carolyn Faye Ballard, 66, Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Casey Co., KY, died Friday, October 15, 2010, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 2pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bryce McCulley the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6pmCT, at the funeral home.


Pallbearers: Chad Ballard, Darick Bonebrake, Randy Ballard, Kenneth Ballard, David Ballard, and Roger Meadows.

Carolyn Faye Ballard, Casey Co., KY (1944-2010)

Carolyn Faye Ballard was the daughter of the late mary Morgan Hammonds and the late Jesse Hammonds. She was born Saturday, August 5, 1944, in Casey Co., KY and died Friday, October 15, 2010, in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY, at the age of 66 years, 2 months, and 10 days.

She was a medical transcriptionist at the Bowling Green Medical Center. She was a member of the Highland Christian Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Ballard and by one brother, Ralph Hammonds, and two sisters, Alice Roy and Ruby Meadows.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five sons: David Ballard, Heber Springs, AR; Michael Ballard, Ocala, FL; Randy (Paula) Ballard, Deerfield Park, FL; Kenneth (Darlene) Ballard, Quitman, AR; and Robert Ballard, Pompano Beach, FL

  • One sister in law: Annelle Hammonds, Cincinnati, OH

  • Two brothers: James (Ruby) Hammonds, Westchester, OH; and Wayne (Mary) Hammonds, Cincinnati, OH

  • Two sisters: Rena Lou Rubarts, Liberty, KY; and Iva Jo Hammonds, Russell Springs, KY

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren
