Vehicle overturns after driver hits slick spot on KY 55 KSP Post 15 troopers and Adair fire, EMS, and Rescue units at scene. Driver transported to Westlake Regional Hospital, then airlifted to University of KY hospital By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Columbia, KY - Trooper Christopher Saunders is investigating a collision that occurred at 6:48pmCT, Wednesday, October 14, 2010, on KY 55, three miles south of Columbia, KY. Leroy Spencer (not belted) age 42 of Columbia, KY was operating a 1996 Chevy northbound on 55 when he hit a slick spot on the road, lost control, overturned and struck a utility pole. Spencer was transported by EMS to Westlake Regional Hospital and later transported to University of Kentucky Hospital. Trooper Saunders was assisted at the scene by Trooper Clint Walker, Adair County fire, EMS and rescue.
